It is self-indulgent. It is small. And it is beneath every single one of us.
a thought repository
I'm a software engineer, amateur food reviewer, runner (a terrible one, at that), and yogi, among other things.
I've admittedly maintained several blogs over the years. All themed, and all eventually abandoned.
But my desire to share my thoughts is relentless. And recently, I found myself abusing Beli's long text boxes to share my musings with my followers there. Those of you familiar with the app will know, that while Beli can act as a great storage mechanism, it has a terrible access time. It was very difficult for my friends to keep track of my stories.
So, at the behest of several of these friends, I have decided to start blogging again. And here we are :)
This is a personal blog! I'm calling it And I Digress because I tend to blog the way I speak. This means that I'll often start talking about one thing and end up somewhere else entirely different. Every post is a journey.
Here, you'll find notes about:
And whatever else catches my attention on a given day.
A brand, a strategy, or a content calendar. I hope to maintain a place to be curious and document my world views as they change over time. It's a repository of my thoughts.
I'll likely contradict myself across posts with some time. This is by design.
I firmly believe that remaining steadfast in one's opinions for long periods of time is a signal of mental stagnancy. And I'm optimizing for growth, so my opinions should be changing.
So, welcome, welcome, to my little blog!
I'll probably digress :)

It is self-indulgent. It is small. And it is beneath every single one of us.

Competence, I am learning, is not always the only variable being evaluated.
I began to understand, in my own distorted way, the concept of inherent value.
